Modelo de Linguagem

Um modelo de linguagem é um sistema de IA projetado para entender e gerar linguagem humana.

A language model is a type of inteligência artificial (AI) that is trained to understand and generate human language. It uses statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to predict the likelihood of a sequence of words. Language models are fundamental in various applications, including processamento de linguagem natural (PLN), chatbots, assistentes virtuais e tradução automática.

Modelos de linguagem funcionam por analisar grandes conjuntos de dados of text, learning patterns, and relationships between words and phrases. These models can be classified into different types, such as:

  • Modelos de Linguagem Estatísticos: These models use probability to predict the next word in a sequence based on the previous words. They rely on n-grams, which are contiguous sequences of n items from a given sample of text.
  • Modelos de Linguagem Neurais: These models leverage neural networks, particularly deep learning techniques, to capture complex patterns in language. Examples include Redes Neurais Recorrentes RNNs e Transformers.
  • Modelos de Linguagem Pré-treinados: Models like BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) and GPT (Transformador Pré-treinado Generativo) are trained on vast corpora and can be fine-tuned for specific tasks, making them highly versatile.

Language models have advanced significantly with the introduction of deep learning, enabling them to generate coherent and contextually relevant text. They can perform tasks such as text generation, summarization, análise de sentimento, and more. However, challenges remain in ensuring the ethical use of these models, as they can inadvertently perpetuate biases present in their training data.
