Heurística evaluation is a usability inspection method that involves a small group of evaluators examining the interface of a software application or website to identify usability problems. This technique is grounded in established usability principles, known as heuristics, which guide the evaluators in assessing the experiência do usuário.

Heuristic evaluation is particularly valuable because it can be conducted relatively quickly and does not require extensive user testing. It is often used in the early stages of design, allowing designers and developers to identify potential usability issues before they become embedded in the final product. By addressing these problems early on, teams can save time e recursos a longo prazo, levando a uma interface mais amigável.

Apesar its advantages, heuristic evaluation does have limitations. It relies heavily on the expertise of the evaluators and their familiarity with the heuristics. Additionally, it may not capture all user experiences, as it does not involve real users interacting with the product. Therefore, it is often combined with other usability testing methods to achieve a comprehensive understanding of user interactions.
